About Dakota VOIP
Introducing the DakotaVOIP Information Center
The DakotaVOIP Information Center was developed in late 2005 to help educate midwestern telephone and internet users about the benefits of voice communications using Voice Over Internet Protocol.
Although initially designed to primarily serve the North Dakota and South Dakota market area the DakotaVOIP Information Center has proven to be a valuable VOIP resource for people and businesses nationwide.
Because of the slower than average growth of high-speed internet access in the midwest caused by higher than optimal high-speed internet access rates during the late 1990s and early 2000s the adoption of internet based voice communications was primarily limited to large companies, and hi-tech early adoptors.
The Dakota VOIP Information center determined in 2005 that there was a large underserved market for VOIP technology caused by a general lack of product knowledge and stubborn misconceptions about the quality of VOIP communications based on problems with the early VOIP solutions offered by cutting edge providers.
Thanks to reasonably priced high-speed internet access, inexpensive and high quality VOIP products, and the skyrocketing costs of telephone service (fueled by lack of competition and high taxes), the midwest and the world in general is finally ready to take advantage of the savings and features that VOIP can provide!
We hope you find that our site helps you find a VOIP service package and provider that meets the needs of your home or business and helps you CUT your communications budget!
